Now, I’m not the biggest Star Trek fan, but I will confess that I think the original cast had a, sort-of, corny charm to it. Apparently, JJ Abrams (the creator of Lost) feels the same way because he’s putting his own spin on the original sci-fi classic.
Now, I don’t know how the movie will turn out, but I like the poster art for it. It’s refreshing in an era of terribly photoshopped posters, floating heads and airbrushed body parts to see a nice, minimal, design. Click on it to see a larger version.
I like the simple color scheme and the nice use of negative space. Plus, I notice they are using the old logo type from the 60′s tv series, which adds a nice bit of nostalgia.
